We welcome you to the first SuperSalone store in Manila

Spearheaded by IDr. Rossy Rojales, Hurray’s co-founder and Principal Designer, and Bong Rojales, co-founder, and Managing Director, SuperSalone’s first flagship showroom in Manila beautifully redefines retail norms and comfortably offers customers and professionals a well-throughout space for consultancy and planning that serves various sectors, including premium residential.

Approccio

In working on the SuperSalone showroom, Hurray’s collective understanding is rooted in its 10-year immersion in showroom design across the globe, specializing in kitchen, cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures, as well as its 15-year experience in collaborating with a diverse clientele through Heima Home & Lifestyle, Heim Interiors, and now, Hurray Design. This level of experience helps its founders shape the overarching vision for the project. IDr. Rossy shares, “Drawing from my experience as a designer who has explored Italian showrooms extensively, I understand the delicate task of harmonizing international design influences with the unique tastes of the local market.”

Following its distinct process for showroom design, Hurray’s goal was to establish an immersive hub that celebrates the pinnacle of Italian design, offering the local community a taste of the grandeur witnessed at prestigious events like Salone Del Mobile and the revered showrooms nestled within Milan. IDr. Rossy explains, “We have aimed to create an environment at SuperSalone that serves as an inspirational beacon, fostering a sense of aspiration without inducing any sense of intimidation, encouraging visitors to return multiple times while ensuring that a distinct aura of luxury and solace is palpable.”

Forma, Layout e Illuminazione

With the prestigious brands housed at SuperSalone, Hurray engaged in numerous workshops with clients, dedicating themselves to understanding and immersing in the unique identity of each brand. It became apparent that a common thread united them all: the essence of timeless Italian contemporary design. IDr. Rossy shares, “This realization served as a springboard for us to infuse this essence into every aspect of our design approach.”

Working alongside IDr. Rossy Rojales and the SuperSalone Team are Hurray’s Design Manager, IDr. Kim Abla, and Hurray’s Design Lead, France Alarilla. Their combined creativity and dedication weaved magic into the showroom’s every corner including the showroom’s layout. IDr. Rossy recalls, “The showroom has a unique cut. It's also in a great spot that is flooded with natural light - something that we’d like to maximize in our design.” She continues, “We planned that space as if you are welcomed into a beautiful home, and as you enter the main entrance, the vignettes let you appreciate the products individually and as a whole.” As having a passion for illumination, IDr. Rossy recognized its pivotal role in connecting a brand's personality and products with its clientele. She shares, “Our strategic lighting design aims to elevate the brand experience, casting the products in a radiant glow, akin to art within an empty gallery. Our collective vision revolved around translating the rich heritage of these brands into an experience that evokes a sense of timelessness and modern Italian sophistication.”

Riflessione

Looking back on the project, IDr. Kim shares, “It was fun! My favorite part was making the layout and concept as [the combined 3 units] have an irregular layout shape. I love the fact that from the concept workshop, it was executed well.” France adds, “My favorite moments were when we were selecting all furniture pieces, fabrics, wallpapers, and doors to be displayed in the showroom. It was a really creative collaboration with Hurray and Supersalone team!”

Selecting material boards with brand principals

Influencing the project, from small details to bigger elements, the two teams worked to create a cohesive design that immortalizes refined living. IDr. Kim notes, “The entrance gives you a glimpse and feel of the brand emphasizing on minimalism and elegance.” As for France, it was the showcasing of the Soho Rimadesio Sliding doors across the space. “[It is] something new and unique than the typical plain sliding doors.” She continues, “I want people [visiting] to have the luxurious experience - with the Supersalone items incorporated in a home display. [To] imagine the items in their living room, dining and bedroom. You can see it all in the showroom.”

IDr. Kim affirms, “Our goal [for the SuperSalone showroom] is to have a strong brand recall that will help establish the bespoke experience, as SuperSalone is one of the high-end brands here in the Philippines.” IDr. Rossy adds, “With every decision, we were guided by the idea of creating a space that seamlessly embodies the ethos of each brand, while maintaining a cohesive narrative that speaks to the discerning tastes of our clientele.” She continues, “Our ultimate goal was to curate an environment that not only showcases the products but also serves as a gateway for patrons to immerse themselves in the essence of contemporary Italian design, forging an unforgettable and immersive journey that resonates with the spirit of Milanese sophistication.”

Design realized: The SuperSalone is now open at Shangri-La East Wing

SuperSalone's flagship showroom isn't merely a space; it's an ode to elegance, innovation, and the harmonious marriage of Italian sophistication with the warmth of a Filipino—a true testament to redefining retail norms and creating spaces that celebrate the individuality of each visitor.
